IPlayGamesNude
I'm thinking of becoming an exec at several clubs I'm currently a member in; as of now, I have a position as an event coordinator ( still dont know what they do >.>) and will apply for more as I'm genuinely interested. Will my club activites interfere with my grades? Thanks for your input.
future_doc
It is all about time management. I am not the brightest, have an incredible work ethic, was a straight A student in undergrad and devoted 30 hrs/week to ECs/volunteering. We are each different. claire_tea
It depends on your level of involvement. I was an exec in one of the largest and most active clubs on campus, but it was picking up the 'grunt work' I was unable to delegate that took the most time on a day to day basis, rather than the "exec only" responsibilities. FacelessMage
I spent maybe around 3 to 10 hours a week on exec duties. Event coordinator would be a lot more time-consuming though (I was VP external, and I know the amount of work that the events people did was more than what I did). It all basically depends on how well you manage your time. During my last year, when I was spending around 6 hours a day on my thesis plus a full course load, I did a lot less hours and mostly delegated work to my commissioners.
