KMMD
I know this is silly, but I really don't know which colour stethoscope to choose. I like the plum a lot but am worried it won't be professional enough. I also like the grey, but I am worried it is too light and will get stained. There is always black but I think I want something a little different...and experience/advice???
Icebox
No one will care as long as it's not some fluorescent color that really stands out. Pick what you want (and you'll be cleaning your stethoscope often, so staining won't be an issue).
robinre
What are the most popular colors among your classmates? (I mean aside from black)
justletmein
What are the most popular colors among your classmates? (I mean aside from black) blue, green and purple for the girls. pick what you like -- it's really not that big of a deal.
slikz
I'd go with all black (super stealthy batman styles) with a bright ass name label on it. LOL. I'll never lose it, or mistake it that way!
thatonekid
Don't worry about the colour. This year, plum was a very common colour and it looks professional enough. During the equipment sale, you'll be able to "try on" all the colours and see which one suits you best.

lost__in__space
I got a colour that is only sold in the US so no one in my class will have it :-)
Renin
I love my black one, but regret not getting plum
rogerroger
Go black, it's classic. And do put a nice name tag on it. The Littmann scopes come with a nice kit for this purpose. I definitely suggest getting a nice, non-hand written label attached, very slick.
GaganS
I'd probably go with a black stethoscope.
rogerroger
Also, name tags are for nurses and techs and I wouldn't waste too much time or money on picking a scope, the trend is that the further up the ladder you get the less stuff you carry and the less you care. Sure and well until one day a code takes place and you leave your scope at the bed side or somewhere else in the commotion and then a tech or nurse has a new scope... All you new stethoscope holders, even if it's an ugly piece of tape, put your name on it. It's only a matter of time till you leave it somewhere. You can thank me later.
