Scholarship/Bursary question

I am wondering if any of you knows how to apply for scholarships/bursaries available for students entering the undergraduate medical program at the UofA.

 

I'm assuming everyone who enters medicine has a high academic average and a great list of extracurricular activities. So, I'm curious how difficult it is at the UofA to receive financial assitance in forms of scholarships or awards.

 

If I am an OOP, am I still eligible for financial assitance?

Yes, there are some entrance awards. But, I don't think students apply for them but they are given by the faculty based on the information they have from the admission process. I don't know what all the entrance awards are but you might want to check out the Student Affairs and Awards office.
