Tiz
There have been previous threads on how residency programs choose applicants, but I'm wondering how the interview invites are determined. Since there is no keeping track of grades in Canadian medical schools, is there some other criteria set to help weed out applicants wishing to interview for competitive residencies? Additionally, how does one apply at all for residencies? Is it an application like medical school, requiring you to fill out ECs, publications etc? Thanks. Interviews are determined by whether they know you, or whether they know and respect a referee that wrote you a letter. Obviously, they have to think you are good and can tolerate you x 2-5 years. Renin
Be pleasant. All the programs talk; and if you are a pain in the arse, no one will want to work with you for two to five (or more) years.
