MedSchoolAspirant81991
I applied to McMaster through OMSAS and CASPer is less than a month away. I heard McMaster weighs about 32% (same as GPA and MCAT verbal) towards the CASPer test so I was wondering how difficulty it will be? Is the stress/preparation and difficulty comparable to that of the MCAT? What should I expect?
Applemanv3
CASPer is not something you, as an applicant taking the test, can necessarily prepare for. That said, "Doing Right", keeping up to date in the Canadian Health Care system, and other such readings may help. Bottom line, go into it with a calm mind, respond and answer the questions quickly, clearly, and simply. Use all the time you have, but answer all questions. Explain yourself well. Think along the lines of how a health professional should. Most of all, be yourself and make decisions or write responses from your heart. Don't let the length or simplicity of your answers worry you, but make use of every minute allotted. Cheers!
