john2520 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 I was jut wondering do you guys buy past tests or exams from people. I always see people spending 100 dollars buying previous tests for all of their classes. Are they that helpful?
bpatient Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Do you have friends? It should be free bro...they are helpful for seeing format or checking for gaps in your knowledge.
McLovin101 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Professors tend to reuse questions from previous years. A friend of mine got 100% on a test because it was the exact same as the one from a few years back. Usually, you won't be this lucky, but it'll help.

Guelph had an exam bank that I found very useful - because it was official the professors knew not to reuse questions but just knowing the format of a professor testing style is useful. I always though that sharing that sort of information was the point of premed clubs etc. Always strange to actually pay for that sort of thing though - I mean once you have it what is stopping you from selling it again for 80 dollars?...and then so on until there is no market

Yep, and the various student faculty organizations have banks of past exams as well at Guelph. Of course, it doesn't help much when in three of your courses the profs are teaching that course for the first time, and so there are no past exams!
