decentcigars
I go to McGill and on our transcripts there are ONLY letter grades (ie, no numbers). McGill's grading scheme has 'A' as 85+ and is the highest mark. Because of the no numbers thing even I myself don't know how many A 's vs. A+'s I have. How would schools looking at my transcript approach my grades (ie, conversion to OMSAS, etc)? Thanks!
ellorie
A McGill A is an OMSAS 4.0 - the numerical weight is different based on what school you went to. See here: http://www.ouac.on.ca/docs/omsas/c_omsas_b.pdf

Thanks! other schools across the country have their own grading schemes as to how to evaluate McGill's letter grades. UBC has a pretty transparent one you can find online
