thepeak12
So after I've submitted everything, I realize that in my SoP I accidentally left out an apostrophe even when I've proofread it like a billion times! It's supposed to be "people's lives" but instead it's "peoples lives". URGH. Would this hurt my chances of getting in?
future_doc
I really don't believe it is a deal breaker - chill.
otapply
I'm sure they see a lot of this because when you copy/paste from word into their submission box, it removes all apostrophes and double dashes (that Word turns into a long dash) - I bet there are people that proofread it and try and add things back in and miss one or two words. Basically nbd.
yogaandtea
Aww, I can totally get your frustration. I would be freaking out if it was me lol. But all in all, if your overall message in your SoP is understood, your GPA and reference letters are decent, I don't think that one apostrophe is going to be the deciding factor of your future career.
