Alexaa.
hello! i know some school actually accept applicants from 3rd year without a degree. however, does it really happens? i mean, if the person have a good gpa, lot of ECs and an good MCAT, is it possible or is it still extremely rare? also, if so, when would be the best time to take the MCAT? not that i'm planning to do that but i'm just curious! thanks! ps. didn't find any old thread but if there is some, which i'm sure, a link to them would be as good as a answer! I know in UBC most of IP applicants who got in had at least 90% GPA. At this point EC's doesn't weigh that much as long as you have some.
Birdy
It isn't rare. It is less likely to get in as a third year applicant, but I wouldn't say rare. A significant number of posters to this site were accepted as third year applicants; look at the accepted/rejected/waitlisted threads. Off the top of my head, about half of the schools don't require a degree to be competed prior to admission. U of A occasionally accepts second year applicants (very few, though) and USask does for IP.

I got in after 3rd year with a 3.73. Yeah, that's an A MINUS average. So it does happen
robinre
Quite a few people in my class are in from third year (though most of them came from Mac healthsci). It's doable if you're organized early enough
