anaelle23
Hello everyone, I applied for the preparatory year of dentistry at university of Montreal. I have applied 3years ago, and I wrote a motivation letter. Do you think I can use the same letter that I used 3 years ago ? Or they will know it at the admission ? I know it's a pretty weird question lol but I took time to write it the first time and I don't want to change it!! Thank you, Anaelle

I know it's a pretty weird question lol but I took time to write it the first time and I don't want to change it!! Thank you, Anaelle To be honest, I think you should write a whole new letter. You could infer some points and ideas that you perceive as being really important, and adhere it with your new experiences, skills, knowledge, etc that you have accumulated for the last three years. In a sense, if you are just re-entering the same letter, it is accountable for plagiarism. So I personally wouldn't risk the chance of doing so. Just my thoughts. future_doc
Chong, you are dreaming in technicolour to believe this is pliagarism or anything close to it. The OP is the author and every right to reuse this letter if she wishes - with absolutely no adverse consequences. Yes,it should be updated as you say, but that is it.
