UBC MD14
Hello rsun, it is really difficult to judge how strong your application is based on your stats. From when I applied 3 years ago, I remember UoA use a GPA system that is out of 4. So your 82% GPA will vary on that scale greatly depending on how many courses you are allowed to drop. Again I can be wrong on this since I haven't checked their GPA system of late. Additionally, 3000 hours is A LOT! It is impressive to be able to go through undergraduate with that level of commitment. However, not all volunteer hours are made the same and it is a subjective evaluation based on people reviewing your file. Your MCAT score is great, to score so well with such balance in all categories is awesome. Again I believe UoA gives you a breakdown on how they evaluate MCAT score. I know it is a time of great anxiety for you right now but really there is no way for anyone to tell your how your chances are, and those who do will just be guessing. Might be educated guesses, but still guessing. I can't tell you how your chances are at UoA will be, but I can tell you that I got accepted there with similar stats (3.91/4.00 weight GPA 84.6%, 36Q, a lot less hours). I hope this post was helpful in some way for you and I wish you the best of luck.
