peachaso
I think your ECs are stellar If you have free time and you want to do something else, choose something you might find interesting and fly with it.
future_doc
They are good. Just do whatever interests you, not to try to impress adcoms. EDIT: The other poster above says they are "stellar". Perhaps, although I have seen others with more. The key is to involve yourself in activities you enjoy. We have no idea of your GPA, MCAT score or your ability to perform at the interview. Your real competition is yourself to be the best you can be. JP76
if i don't get in this upcoming year, I am thinking of exploring my culinary interests with a friend and opening up a food truck in downtown toronto. would that look equally as impressive (assuming it was successful) as research? haha

Savac
to which of those categories does serving fine dining street food fall into? You should be able to justify all of them if you try hard enough

JP76
i think owning a street truck by day, and DJ'ing by night sounds better than being a doctor after all come to think of it.
future_doc
The key to truck food is you making the food and maintaining excellence in terms of nutrition, variety, size of portion, location and dedicated, friendly and competent employees. It is essential that you collect the money from each patron at time of sale. DJing can be fun and remunerative if you are good and have a following. Medicine, lol, cannot be compared to the above.
