Sebriz
It isn't the format of a question that I am having troubles with its moreso the question itself
futureGP
It isn't the format of a question that I am having troubles with its moreso the question itself what about the question? there's no right answer... so just take a side and follow thesis/antithesis/synthesis do u mean u dont understand why medicine would be an art and a science? The word 'more' i think is just meant to throw someone off... it doesn't really affect the answer (because your opinion might be that it's more of a science and an art) so it just depends on your stance

I think he is asking for other's opinions on the question, how they would answer it, etc.
in2bat0r
I've heard a similar question, except I think it was: discuss art and science as they apply to the study of medicine. Describe a situation where one is more useful than the other." I discussed art in the sense of social sciences, communication, and cultural aspects as they apply to the practice of medicine. And for science I discussed the application of the scientific method to evidence based practice, etc... This is also an important prompt to focus not only on the physician perspective, but also the patient's perspective. Think about how a patient may interpret medicine/disease, as opposed to how a physician would approach it. I found thinking this way allowed me to appreciate the artistic side of the conversation a bit more. I also discussed health care approaches that are less scientific (i.e. homeopathic med., etc.) in contrast with modern medicine, and the pros/cons. shady
If you want ideas, definitely disagree. How could med be possibly more art than science? I mean come on. Where would med be without the scientific revolution of the 20th century? Just elaborate on this idea and you have an essay.
MD Consultants
Medicine is an art for the patient and science for the physician. At any material time there are more patients than physicians, therefore it is more of an art than science!!
MD Consultants
The patient wants just the results be it from physician, magician, musician, technician, politician or any of the xxxxcians. Therefore for patient it is an art, whereas, a physician seeks mainly science based results.
