Has anyone ever used Astroff Consultants to prep for their interview, or heard anything about it? Thanks!

I heard they were really expensive. I would suggest you find a friend to practice with instead.

yeah they're pretty expensive! i was just wondering if anyone took it (or knows someone who did) and thought it was worth the money. like if they teach you good strategies for how to structure your answers, for example. Thanks!

I did go for one mock interview session with Astroff.

Yes, it's really expensive... probably not worth the price... although it was a good practice session for me just before my interview so I don't regret it that much. He gives you a few tips but you can get the same tips from current dental students who went through this for free instead.

So overall, not totally useless but definitely overpriced.

Not worth it.

 

Overpriced because he knows that pre-professional students are in a desperate need and interviews are obviously a big deal. He's probably tried a few price points to see what students tend to go for, I wouldn't be surprised if med students got a higher fee because they tend to want it more (from my experience).

 

Practice with a fellow pre-dental student that is actually your friend. I mock-interviewed with someone that was a douchebag and that was a terrible experience. I mock-interviewed with my actual friend (pre-med/dental) and we both got in.
