reb
sorry if this thread is in the wrong place... if so, feel free to move it. I'm just wondering if in med school you have access to the same clubs/campus activities as undergrad students on campus? maybe this varies across universities. Thanks. Lactic Folly
Yes, we were considered an undergraduate degree.

Ha - yeah, as an example we have over 100 Schulich Med specific clubs plus all the other ones. Other schools are similar. We are not lacking for ECs

reb
that's good to hear. but it's odd that i haven't come across any med students (or other professional program students) in non-med schools clubs/events on campus.
Lactic Folly
I continued my undergrad involvements. So did others I know. That being said, I was correspondingly less involved in the medical school milieu, which can quickly become an all-encompassing social bubble, especially for people who have moved to a new city for med school. Alastriss
Ha - yeah, as an example we have over 100 Schulich Med specific clubs plus all the other ones. Other schools are similar. We are not lacking for ECs +1, in fact I think I got more involved with EC activities than I did in undergrad. It's amazing how I got busier school wise but had more time due to time management. One thing I have to note though is it is inevitable that you may have to scale back on some extracurricular activities when you go off for clerkship/electives. I was able to keep up with most of them but it was still tougher and required good time management.
