cdawso23
Hello everyone! So I'm trying to decide how to rank preferences for UWO. The interview days are March 2, 3 or April 6, 7. I have my McMaster interview on April 6th. The problem with March interview dates are that on March 2nd, I'm supposed to be doing a mandatory training session for my work...I have be given permission to miss it, but they're fairly unhappy with me. Also, I will have 3 midterms the week before that weekend. Would it be a bad idea to just do the 2 interviews in the April weekend? That way I'd have more time to prepare (March 2/3 is really only a few weeks away!) and would only need to prepare for the 2 interviews once. Does this sound like a terrible idea? Should I just try to do the March 2nd interview and April 6th interview dates? Any opinion would be appreciated!

I'd say it may be logistically difficult (and therefore stressful) for you to do both, depending on the times, where you live, and whether or not you have a car. Also, for the March date, you'd have all of reading week to study for your midterms/sort of prepare. You still have almost a month.

I have a car as well so will be driving to Hamilton for the Mac interview. As for reading week, I will be working at least 20 hours plus about 15 hours in the lab, so honestly won't have any more time than a regular week. It's true they will be different styles though. I assume though that a lot of the material to review (healthcare system, ethics etc.) will overlap. Thank you for the input! I need to decide soon. Lactic Folly
I don't think it's a bad idea, as long as you think the times work well enough so that you won't be tired for the second interview, and you are generally calm and confident enough that you won't be shaken in the event that you are not completely satisfied with how the first interview goes (hopefully you will be prepared enough so that this won't be the case). surferdoc
I think doing back to back would be great. Just get in the zone and go for it. The real problem is that you're putting all your eggs in one basket. If you get sick that weekend, ugh, that would be aweful.
