iwgims
I heard that in previous years, only your top 2 choices were considered. If those campuses are already full, they will look at the next person on the list who's top 2 choices includes a campus that has not yet been filled. Does anyone know if this process will be used this year?
UBCMD
Lest there be any more rumours floating around: Let us say loudly and clearly that the sites you rank DO NOT affect your admissibility to the program. ... How site placement works is like this: When we (the Admissions Office) moves through the list of applicants and comes to your name, we look at your first site of preference, if it is full, we put you at your second site of preference, if that is full, third, etc. If you are placed at any site other than your first preference, you will be wait-listed for your preferred site(s). If we cannot place you, and you have been deemed admissible, you will be wait-listed. - http://admissionsblog.med.ubc.ca/2011/12/23/clarification-of-site-selection/ There is nothing complicated about the wait list. If there is room for you, and you are next in line, you will get a seat.
