Dr. Brule
Hey - I'm sort of a non-trad applicant. I entered my undergraduate program in Biochem. (cGPA 3.75 on AMCAS) after taking some part time courses , which I did abysmally in (I even got an F in Calc 2). That F is seriously killing my cumulative AMCAS score (brings me to just over 3.5 on AMCAS), and that's only if you count the graduate courses that I've completed (I'm not sure if AMCAS counts them?) I'm going to be writing the MCAT in May. I'm at the tail end of a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. program at McMaster (cGPA 3.95). Anyway, provided I do decently on the MCAT, do you guys think I still have a shot at an American school? GPA-wise, Canadian schools are fairly mixed in how they calculate things, so I'm still hopeful for a shot at home, but I want to consider the US as a backup.
