FML.
Hey everyone, I graduated last year from McGill in Microbiology and Immunology. My cGPA was an amazing 3.17. Here's the breakdown of it semester by semester : F09 - 2.7 W10 - 2.9 F10 - 3.0 W11 - 3.0 F11 - 3.6 W12 - 3.9 I'm now a student at UofM and my fall semester was great - I had a 4.18 GPA with 17 credits. If I do the same (or better) this semester, will I be competitive for the next round of applications (considering I don't have an MCAT, I'm mostly interested in McGill/UofM/Laval)? Should I apply for a Master's Degree? Basically, I'm sick and tired of the undergrad life... I have volunteered for 3 years at different places, haven't done anything of the sort in two years though. I have also had a research assistant position for 1.5y at McGill, and recently started doing research at UofM. No publications, but I know I can count on a few professors for some solid recommendation letters.
simpy
Are those years OMSAS GPA? If so you would have a shot at Western and Queen's after this year provided you met MCAT cutoffs.

I believe the OMSAS scale is identical to that of McGill. As for UofM, a 4.3 is brought down to a 4.0 for OMSAS, and a 4.0 would be equivalent to a 3.9, so I am at around a 3.95 in the OMSAS scale for my last semester. Western and Queen's are very MCAT oriented, huh? I was trying to avoid the MCAT because I don't fully trust my abilities in English. I know how to communicate properly, but I think my vocabulary is lacking...
