Thank you letters/emails?

Recommended Posts

It seems like a nice idea, but I wouldn't want to bother them with more emails. With the latest e-mail they sent, they sounded pretty busy and they said they wouldn't reply to questions about whether they received our documents or not. So I feel like, to be on the safe side, it would be better to not send them a message and not overburden them with a thank you letters from all of us. Although we all are thankful for the interviews :). If anyone else has a different perspective, I'd love to hear it.

Hey there, congrats on the interview. I know where your coming from, after interviews I wanted to send letters too. I now look back and see that my desire to send thank you letters was just me looking for some form of control over the situation when, in reality, it was out of my hands at that point. In retrospect I am glad I didn't send any, for reasons that above posters have already pointed out. My advice: relax, and try to focus on something else :) At this point there is quite a good chance that you will get in, they have already told you (by inviting you to interview) that you are good enough on paper to be in UBC med school! Take care. -L
