PiKi
This is my first time applying and I am not certain whether it is customary to send "thank you for the opportunity to interview" letters to UBC. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks!
Slipstream
It seems like a nice idea, but I wouldn't want to bother them with more emails. With the latest e-mail they sent, they sounded pretty busy and they said they wouldn't reply to questions about whether they received our documents or not. So I feel like, to be on the safe side, it would be better to not send them a message and not overburden them with a thank you letters from all of us. Although we all are thankful for the interviews . If anyone else has a different perspective, I'd love to hear it.

Nokia
Probably not a good idea, you don't want to come across as a suck up.
Larrivee
Hey there, congrats on the interview. I know where your coming from, after interviews I wanted to send letters too. I now look back and see that my desire to send thank you letters was just me looking for some form of control over the situation when, in reality, it was out of my hands at that point. In retrospect I am glad I didn't send any, for reasons that above posters have already pointed out. My advice: relax, and try to focus on something else At this point there is quite a good chance that you will get in, they have already told you (by inviting you to interview) that you are good enough on paper to be in UBC med school! Take care. -L
BAMFtastic
I emailed someone at the school who helped me with my application. But I wouldn't and didn't email the admissions team.
