MCAT - strictly a cut off?

Recommended Posts

Does Queens view the MCAT strictly in terms of cut offs, or does the higher you score make you a stronger applicant?

I think when they use hard cut-offs, they want applicants to get past that number and never worry about getting their app affected by those stats.

once at the interview stage, ADCOM's wont necessarily go back and rank people with their gpa versus interview score and sent out invites.

but for mac where they use certain % for some part of application like I dont know 46% for Casper, higher u score on casper will improve your chances for getting a interview.

i mean pre-interview though - is queens a hard cutoff? does that mean that once you meet the cut off, your mcat score does not affect your chances of getting an interview?

According to their website, the MCAT appears to be just a cutoff: each score's cutoff must be met individually, as well as a combined score of all four areas (they don't specify how, if at all, the writing sections factors into the combined score - though it is mentioned).
