peachaso
I've done a bit of pbl (just problems tho not case studies). My impression is that once in a while it's helpful to me but mostly it is a waste of time. I guess it is good for the people who either wouldn't do problems by themselves or don't understand the lecture material b/c then other group members can teach them
Birdy
We have it to a small degree in labs, but I don't really have any courses as yet where it would be particularly useful. I believe the immunology course I plan to take in third year has a fair bit.
theboywho2
I had a pbl project in a biology class last semester and I really disliked it. My group and I had to figure out a way where we could rid a lake from E.coli in a creative way. I felt I got nothing out of it and I wasted time that I could have used studying for midterms.
