Im currently taking classes for skills development/hobby/fun at a local college (failed MCAT thats why, passed it last september). No money for states. Cheers. TaRoEl
LMFAO...I'm saying I have no money for states so I got none for the Carribian expect maybe Puerto Rico (cheap US school) but missing preqs. I'm at the interview stage for 2 ONT schools already getting nervous about rejection. You know how it is.

apache
oh, there's a few things i've been working on for a few years... i don't worry about it, besides, entrepreneurship looks like it could pay the bills nonetheless at current pace. Carribean schools only care about your credit. Don't sweat about it because you only live once. No one asked you kiddo, where did you get full ride to? Skylerate2
I think you should reconsider medicine entirely. What's the point of putting in thousands of dollars to attend some bottom of the rung Puerto Rican school and not get a residency wgen you could go into a trade job and be making a healthy income? Nope people who graduate get a residency, Puerto counts as a US school so graduates are not IMG when applying to Canada. Just saying I have no money for outside side of Canada really. A trade job? Whats a healthly income to you? $15/hr? People in the trades struggle everyday to make a living, because of sometime called inflation.

Medicine isn't a profession you should be going into for money; if you want money and want to use your bachelors degree in sciences then go into dentistry. Tradespeople actually make quite a lot in Alberta and should receive credit for knowing what they want to do with the rest of their lives instead of pursuing an empty dream for the wrong motives. Trades people can probably make 45-65k/year without overworking.. Why do you look down at plumbers and tradespeople? Most people do go into medicine with money being a factor. And I'd rather live in my parents basement than be a dentist, but hey that's just me. I dont know what the entry requirements for PR are last time I saw them where two years ago but being a fluent in Spanish is a must something im not 100% confortable doing, despite my current profiency in the language. My GPA is way higher then 3.3 and MCAT is 30+. Hence I if had cash money I would apply to the states and prob get in. About trades it really depends in what you work in and where u work. The wages range all over the place. In the end as long as they enjoy their job thats all that matters.
buzzcar2012
International schools prob the best best. Oztrek came to my school, some interesting programs. I also hear commonwealth med schools give you a better medical education than in the islands? Definitely expensive. Over 60K at some places!
