TheEmeraldTablet
Hi, I'm travelling the beginning of summer and of the available dates, I'm deciding between Aug 22 and 28. Do you think writing on Aug 28 (scores available on Oct 1) is a risk in case something gets delayed and the scores aren't released to OMSAS? The OMSAS deadline isn't out yet and I'm worried that Oct 1 is cutting it close. I will also be applying to Calgary this year and again their deadline for scores hasn't been released either. I'm conflicted between picking a later date (I would like as much time to prepare) and risking the scores being released too late. Has anyone been in this situation? Should I just stay safe and write the earlier date? Thanks!
souljaboy
Scores are very rarely ever released late. A week isn't going to make much of a different though so pick whichever date you're comfortable with.
Savac
If there was some sort of problem with the score release, OMSAS would be fine with receiving the scores late (since it's beyond your control). Two summers ago there was an earthquake in the GTA and the MCAT was cancelled. The scores from the rescheduled test were released after the deadline, but this was fine with OMSAS.
