Tee88
Hey folks, I'm just asking for someone else; they applied through the graduate stream and have not heard anything yet. Last year, if I remember correctly, they put out invitations in batches and there was a batch of grad applicants that received invitations at the same time. I was just guessing that since they have a supplemental application to fill out, then the majority of grad apps haven't been reviewed/are in the process of being reviewed and just take longer to get through? I do see some grad students with invites but not in the big batch like last year, does anyone know if there will be a large grad-stream of invites/rejections soon? Or are they in the same boat as undergrads and whenever they are reviewed they'll let you know? Thanks so much PM101'ers.

page_matrix
At one point, the UTblog said that grad applicants will be notified at a later date which seemed to imply a batch for grad applicants, but like you said there have been some grad PM101ers reporting interviews... Dr_Scully
I'm a grad student who got rejected already, so I think it really just depends on when they get to your file. No point in stressing over it, you'll hear from them when you hear from them.

I'm also a grad student, haven't heard anything yet. Undergrads in my lab haven't heard anything yet. I wish they'd at least give us some more info on invite/rejection timelines, they're the last school to hear from in ON. As a grad student in BC I need to book flights for my ON interviews and I'd like to know one way or another about Toronto before booking flights - so expensive to fly from BC to ON! hamham
I'd like to know one way or another about Toronto before booking flights - so expensive to fly from BC to ON! i feel your pain, but flights between Vancouver and Toronto are nothing compared to flights between Edmonton and Toronto. I will be paying a bomb for for my trip to Edmonton.
distortion
Relatively speaking though, a small price to pay for a potentially life-changing opportunity..riiiight??
tinker
I am a grad applicant and have not heard. I am coming from Southern California for an interview at Queen's but I am holding off on booking until I know about TO so I can make it one trip if I get an interview. I think it's important to remember that they are taking the time to throughly review applications as opposed to some other schools that check a bunch or numbers and put you in a yes or no pile! That being said, I hope I'm not in the no pile

markymarch
From the blog RE: Grad Applicant Invites. Guest Fresh_Underwear
Hang in there folks. I was a grad applicant last year and I didn't get U of T interview til the last interview weekend in mid April (I got my invite in mid March). So unless UofT adm office post on blog/twitter that they've stopped sending out invite, then you still hope. During my interview weekend roughly 2/3 of the interviewee were grad applicants, so they definitely push you toward the end. Given the complexity of grad applicant file review, many have their interview toward last few interview weekends. Don't loose out hope! See you guys hopefully during interview day! Patrick1234
any rejections recently? I have seen some invites but it's been pretty quiet in terms of rejections lately...I wonder if they are doing most of them after all the interviews are sent out
jerr
any rejections recently? I have seen some invites but it's been pretty quiet in terms of rejections lately...I wonder if they are doing most of them after all the interviews are sent out Well there's two reasons why there would be little to no rejections, one being that those rejected will be far less likely to post at all because they'd be sad and slightly ashamed, two being that those fanatic enough to register and post here on premed101 would have a disproportionate amount of highly qualified applicants. That said, still a little odd that there is more or less zero rejection posts so far, compared to the seldom few that appear in other school threads. demerp
seems like there was a wave of invites friday for grad applicants. I wonder how many interview spots are left...and seeing how they arnt sending refusals in proportion to invites this doesn't look too good
Leon
Someone I know received an R from UT last Saturday (March 9). She's a grad applicant. I dunno if this helps in any way but I figured a little extra may be useful

kiwwwi
Is anyone else still waiting to hear? Seems a bit drawn out after Friday's batch of invitations... I am a graduate applicant (MSc finished) and still waiting to hear back I really wish that they would give us a quick update so that we have an idea of where we stand. I know that the admissions office is short staffed this year so delays are to be expected. BUT, even so, they should have some idea of the applications that are unsuccessful right? And as someone mentioned earlier, the rejection is likely generic and sent out as a mass email. Why not get it over with and put some of us out of our misery . From the invites thread, it seems like very few grad students have been invited so far in comparison to undergraduates. My hope is that there are still invitations to come, but logistically, this doesn't seem likely.
drtrumpet
Judging on the amount of people who have already posted that they have received an invite I would estimate (I'm pulling this number out of my a$$) that >90% of all invites have already been sent...
