Science Pre-reqs

I was just wondering if any current McGill med students can comment on this.

Was anyone who was accepted exempt from re-taking a prereq (since it expires after 8 years) because you wrote the MCAT and/or working in a health field?

If your rereq expired ie. physics or whatever, if you receive your acceptance letter, do they list the condition that you are only accepted if you have competed the retaking of this prereq?

I am just confused because I have taken mine more than 8 years ago but the McGill website say sometimes they will exempt this 8 year rule if you have worked in a related field... but I have no idea if this means they will exempt all science prereqs since I worked in health but don't use too much physics ....nothing was said in the invite email

Any insights will be appreciated!

working in the related field condition does not mean teaching physics and biology classes everyday - it's a case-by-case condition,

the only worthy advice you should consider on this forum, and which I am going to give you, is - send them an email and ask the question in your particular case, not like a general situation inquiry... I am sure they would tell you if this exempt is or is not applicable to you, and why...

good luck:D

Thanks that makes me feel better :)

I didnt think they looked at pre-reqs before the interview...according to their formula, don't pre-reqs come into play post-interview? I was just wondering

if maybe some people get accepted first and the were told they had to retake something in the summer ie. conditional acceptance?
