Casey
Hello! I am trying to figure out how to describe my extracurricular activities in my CV for University. I have divided all the sections into the standard categories (Education, Work Experience, Service to the Community, Awards, Certificates and Licenses, Skills and Interests plus Other Extracurricular Activities). Under each section, I list the name of the activity and position (ex: Volunteer at the Ste. Anne's Veteran Hospital). Under these headers, I want to give a brief summary of what my tasks were at this position. Should I write a brief 1-2 sentence "paragraph" explaining that I was working with senior and alzheimer patients, or should I list them in bullet points (2-3 of them, each stating one of the main tasks I would do on a weekly basis). Thanks!
dazzle
Paragraph looks cooler and I prefer it but I'm sure point-form is easier to read therefore go with the latter
Casey
Point form since no one has time to actually read it if you write paragraph and paragraphs of text. Good ideas for the headers! Thanks for the reply. Would you say something like this would be OK (in terms of format): Volunteer at the Ste Anne's Veteran Hospital - Senior and Alzheimer patient transportation - Weekly patient-visitor activity assistance - Annual Remembrance Day ceremony organization Thanks again!
