missmathematics
All we need is a piece of ID, correct?
FrenchToast
I think so, and just to clarify in case anyone was wondering: Even though it says to "submit" a piece of ID, I verified with them and they meant "present".

whatsupdoc1
Hello, I have my interview scheduled in two weeks. Do I need to bring anything to the interview other than my ID (driver's license)? should we print out our application to give to them? Also, will there be a place for us to leave our belongings? Or do we bring all of our belongings into the interview? I am asking because I'll be staying in a hotel overnight and will need to check out before my interview, so I will consequently have a small suitcase, purse, laptop etc... Also, I confirmed my interview invite via email back in January - were we supposed to be contacted again by them after this (other than the package they sent out)? This is my first med school interview ever, so I am a newbie when it comes to this protocol. Thanks in advance fellow interviewees!

No need to re-confirm the invite, they will have your name on the list. Hotels are usually quite good with storing your luggage after checkout, so you can ask the front desk to leave your belongings there. There is a coat check at the interview place, but they told me I could bring my purse in with me. Aside from that, you only need to bring your ID, as they will already have a copy of your application. Let me know if you have any other questions... and good luck!! kaykiddo
Hey all, Just wondering if anyone who's had their interview can share how long I might anticipate being there? I know some of the other school's do a tour, show their med school video's, and even have a dinner for the applicants. My interview's at 10:30 AM, and in the middle of the week - just need to plan for transportation on the way back, so it'd be helpful to know how long activities may be running for Thanks a million in advance!! FrenchToast
The information on tour and info session times should be in the e-mail that they sent you (the second e-mail with the humungous Word document). The video is part of the info session. There is no dinner, though, lol. Anyways, straight from the e-mail: "Guided Tours The tour guides have organized visits of the hospital facilities and the Health Sciences Centre. The tours will take place at 9:15 am and 12:00 pm on interview days. They will last about thirty minutes. [...] Information Sessions [...] Two presentations of 45 minutes will be offered. These sessions are scheduled at 10:15 am and 1:40 pm." The interview itself is 40 minutes. They have tables (with food and coffee, of course) where you can chat with other interviewees and fourth year students while you're waiting for stuff. So yeah, if you want to go to the info session, you'll be waiting around for a *while*, but you can do the 12:00 pm tour in the meantime if you want. I personally didn't find the info session too helpful; they mostly just said stuff I'd read online in advance to prepare, haha. I didn't go on the tour because I had a 2:45 pm interview and I didn't want to get there that early. Best of luck by the way!

FrenchToast
Oh great... So what did you end up doing? I was lucky. My dad came with me so he kept it in the car. I strangely didn't see many people with bags, actually . There was this one girl with a knapsack, and I'm pretty sure she brought it into the interview with her. As awkward as it seems, I hardly think the interviewers would dock you marks for that. There is also a coat rack and I guess you could leave a suitcase beside it if you don't have any valuables/aren't worried. The coat rack isn't in an isolated area or anything - it's out in the open beside the registration table and near where everyone's sitting around nervously, lol.
