I received early admission to my first choice program in December ( Biological Sciences) at the only university I applied to and at the time my second choice was Bio Med. However, I decided that the program was not for me so I did not submit the supplementary application for it. Now, I am wondering if I can substitute my second choice program of Bio Med to natural Sciences as this program suits me better. I do not want to waste a slot as this is the only university I applied to. (May 1st is the application deadline, so do you think the university will allow me to do this?)Thank you.
If they're all at the same university in the same area, you probably will be taking the exact same courses in first year. You can look up the programs on their website. In first year it's insanely easy to switch majors, especially if both maojrs are under the same branch of science. I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

Thanks for the reply. That is not my concern however. It is that if I do not have a high enough final average for my first choice program I can still fall back with my second choice (natural sciences has quite a bit lower average than biological sciences at this university). At this point, I do not have any backup.
I'm not sure I'm understanding this. You got early acceptance to your first choice program, then didn't complete your application to your second choice, and now you want your second choice because you think that your final mark will be too low for your first choice?

That is exactly right. It's just in case though because since I only applied to 1 university and if I can not keep my offer I am screwed.
The best advice I can give you is to call the university directly.

I know when I got my acceptances, in the letter it had a certain grade that I couldn't drop below to maintain acceptance. And if I remember correctly, it would have been pretty tough for me to have dropped that low... For example, if a university had a 85% cutoff, and they sent out early acceptances, they would be conditional upon finishing high school with an average above 80 or something. So if someone was already passing that 85% cutoff it would have been pretty hard to fall below 80% in one semester. Did they not tell you the average you need to maintain?

The second thing that I can tell you is that if I HAD managed to drop below the conditional average, my university probably would have made a secondary offer. So if you don't qualify for your first choice your university may well offer you a different program automatically.

But yea, definitely call them yourself and see what's up.
