s5260205
As a general rule, is it better to have a reference letter from a physician? I have had experience volunteering in emergency room where I was able to observe the physicians interacting with the patients. However, I don't know any doctor well enough for them to write me a reference letter. I understand that some DO schools specifically require a reference letter from a doctor while others recommend it. I am currently debating whether I should volunteer at a family doc clinic to fulfill the reference letter requirement. Any suggestion?

Thanks for the info. Also, is there a way to find out whether a school accepts Canadians? Should I just ask the admission directly?
