In2Infinity
HI there, I hope someone might have a better understanding than I do about this, I will try to explain my question: So, I understand that pretty much all accepted people (in province) have over a 3.9, which is fine. My question does your 3.9 only get you into the interview, then after that all people interviewed are equal, and your acceptance is based on the interview score only? Where does volunteering come into play? Only to gain an interview or does it help afterwards as well? I am worried that my "lowish" GPA for Ottawa 3.91 won't give me much of a chance compared to all the hundreds of other people with 3.95+. So basically does the acceptance have to deal with GPA+volunteer+interview? or does acceptance after the interview only rely on the interview score itself. thanks! Leon
Your question's been answered here. We were debating the very same thing a few weeks back. GPA does still play a role, but the primary determinant is interview score. http://premed101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76553
