farmin
Does anyone know if Dal allows some lenience on this? My transcripts arrived on Aug.16th at 6AM (due Aug.15th) even though Canada Post guaranteed 2 day arrival (so should've gotten there on 14th). I emailed the admissions contact and no reply yet (emailed them about something else a month ago and still no reply, which is why I'm posting on pm101 because I probably won't get a reply at all). Dr. Brule
I think it would be unreasonable for them to refuse to accept your transcripts, Especially if you can prove that you sent via guaranteed mail service. Dal has made a bunch of exceptions for me regarding transcripts, etc, so I can't see how they wouldn't budge here. You should seriously call Canada Post and complain. undergrad519
Which application, step 1 or step 2? edit - found it! Nevermind, thanks! (for anyone else who is wondering, it's the first application step, under requirements)
farmin
Just an update, I did contact admissions office and Canada Post. My transcripts were received on the 15th yay, and Canada Post confirmed it on the 16th. So apparently the confirmed arrival date could be 24h later than the actual arrival date (I'm kinda confused myself). Also, if you mail via express with far distances like Western Canada to Eastern Canada, it could take longer than the guarantee (1 day for me) and they refund the money if you tell them about it. Admissions also seemed kinda nonchalant about it in the email so I don't think they care if it arrives a day or two late anyways. I think this might help people in the future who get in the same situation as I did. LESSON LEARNED
