uoftpremed
Hi, I took a full-year course (1.0 CR) as CREDIT/NO CREDIT option. Basically, at UofT you have the option to establish your courses as for credit/non-credit. This means you take the course and if you get 50%+ you get CR on your transcript with NO OTHER GRADE. If you get below 50% you get NCR meaning you did not get the credit. So my question is: If I took 4 "normal courses" and then this 1 full-year course as credit/no-credit, would Dalhousie,Western and UT (which require a full , 5.0 CR course load) consider my course-load as "full"? IamIDP
Thats a very good question. If you can do that that means you can technically take 4 courses + 1 pass/fail course = full courseload...

UofT will consider it as a full course load, but automatically drop that CR/NCR in the weighted formula if you qualify, as they regard CR/NCR as 50%. According to their website: 11) How are pass/fail courses or advanced standing credits on my transcript treated? Credits for which there is no transcripted mark cannot be used in the GPA calculation. They will count towards the number of credits needed to apply. Are you sure it is a 50%?

I'm pretty sure you are only allowed so many of those and they cannot be for courses that go toward your PoSt
