Lost topic after forum migration?

Recommended Posts

I think someone posted here on 8/6 about low science MCAT and good GPA... is it just me or did that post disappear right before the forum migrated? Maybe they didn't take the most recent possible snapshot before migration so we lost a post. Sorry, whoever that was, I hope you got my response.

Hi Shematoma,

Yes, I did get your reply and it was very helpful.  I noticed too that the topic was not migrated and wondered if it would be worth re-posting?  I know Dr. Walker said that if you get less than a 6 in any section, its' a huge red flag so just feeling very discouraged overall.   I know 1 person personally who got 3's in their sceince and an 8 on VR  but her top 10 put her in the 97th percentile and she had a perfect GPA which got her an interview, which she also did very well in.  So, I know there is hope!!

Thanks again for your reply

I wouldn't be too discouraged if I was you. In general I think it's worth applying and putting your best foot forward as long as your GPA/VR are competitive and you write up a good Top 10. Together those are 90% of your application(!)

Obviously a 3 in the sciences will draw unwanted attention but if the rest of your application is stellar then you still have a good shot.
