gottawannit
Is it possible to get a quick list of estimated GPA cutoffs for all the Ontario schools here? I've heard Queen's likes 3.8+, Western 3.7 from two best years, etc. but I think it would be great if someone has already compiled all the schools and can post it here for ease of access! cindylouwho
Birdy has made an amazing chart and it is available on her site: http://premedpostmom.blogspot.ca/2014/06/the-really-big-chart.html Cells with no data I'm guessing don't have any official information from the university, so Queen's liking GPA 3.8+ is probably assumed from data collected here on the forum. Jaybird
Rule of thumb - 3.7 for UWO/Mac, 3.8 for Queen's, 3.9 for U of T, 3.95(!!!) for Ottawa.

If I have 3.93, should I not even bother applying?

Ottawa has been creeping up but that is still high enough that it is worth any risk to apply.

DarkGhost
Ottawa is the prime example of what happens if you only have one quantitative method of pre-screening applicants. A 3.95 GPA just to be competitive? It's ridiculous. Especially since I've been to award ceremonies where the top student in the entire faculty of science doesn't even have that GPA. Crazy.
