How Are Fall Term Grades Used?

Recommended Posts

Don't worry. The year that you apply in isn't involved in the calculation of your cGPA. Fall grades aren't used for sending interview invites or acceptance in May. They will check final transcript in June, and you just have to keep your academic performance similar to what it was in the past... i.e. 3.95 to 3.9 is completely fine.

P.S. If you study and have a good background in sciences, you will be fine in 1st year of Pharm. Just watch out for non-science related courses in both semesters (i.e. Communication/Role of Pharmacist/Evidence Based Medicine). They are the ones that hurt your GPA.

This is disheartening! Make sure you try to put extra effort into non-science courses because those are cooler :) and we've done science stuff our whole lives, time to change our strengths for the real world
