Contach
I can't speak to the new ones: MWU, MWU-IL, or New England. Do Iowa, Oklahoma and Indiana accept Canadians? Double check that b/c i'm not too familiar with those schools. It looks like you are applying to schools that accept Canadians: if so, add Nova Southeastern, and Columbia. Maybe NYU and USC is you are okay paying the high tuition (but isn't BU similar tuition?). Howard is mostly under represented minorities.. I'd have my hesitations about applying there unless you're an URM. And have seen students coming from that school who didn't seem the most well-trained... Why these schools? Hockeytalk
Add minnesota to the list. 2 years ago when I applied, I am pretty sure tufts and UOP were not accepting any canadians
briamae_nl
Hi I am not sure why I picked Washington at the moment. I bought the online guide from the ADEA. I was skimming for schools that my pre requisites seemed to fit and those that accepted Canadian DAT.
briamae_nl
and here is a forum posting about most Canadian friendly schoolshttp://toptennation.blogspot.ca/2008/04/top-10-things-that-canadians-want-to.html Top 10 Nation recommends applying to the following US dental schools for Canadian applicants IN THIS PRIORITY ORDER: Boston University, New York University, Tufts University, University of the Pacific, Temple University, University of Detroit Mercy, and Case Western Reserve University. There may be other schools that accept large numbers of Canadians, and we will update this list as required. Western University has not been verified but potentially accepts many Canadians as well. Hockeytalk
im pretty sure all those posts on that blog are old and outdated, comments are 6 years old there should be a section in your adea book that includes how many canadians were accepted at each school. This is how you find the canadian friendly schools. UOP accepts canadian dat, but they have not accepted canadians for the previous 3 years when I applied, therefore they are not canadian friendly. In addition when I applied I got interviews at minnesota, detroit and indiana, but heard nothing from nyu and bu. Therefor apply broadly. I would apply to the top 10-15 schools that accepted canadians according to previous adea statistics. Here is a previous years statistics. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/2013-international-students-admission-statistics.1005151/
