Non-Academic Activity Description

Recommended Posts

Do we just put what our responsibilities are for each activity we list, or are we expected to also explicitly state key applicant characteristics (e.g. reliability, perseverance)? For example, is it enough to say that I provided medical treatment for people in emergency, or are they looking for something like "I was responsible for providing emergency medical treatment, and relied on teamwork to secure patient's health"?

In my opinion, I would assume that someone who provides medical treatment to be an MD or a nurse. Volunteers normally aren't entitled to do these tasks and adcom will get suspicious from this NAQ description. I would keep the descriptions simple and list exactly what the task you were performing so that adcom gets an idea of your role.
