Goku
1. Did anyone else list verifiers for the "Other" section by putting a number in brackets beside the description? 2. Is it expected that we provide a description of our role and responsibilities for "Extra-curriculars" as it is for "Volunteering"? Or do we just state the "Type of Activity/Level of Performance"? Goku
My friend just sent me this link. From what I understand, a verifier is required for "Other" activities. http://www.ouac.on.ca/faq/linking-verifiers-with-activities/
MathToMed
If you can, it wouldn't hurt, but according to that page we should "leave the Verifier Information fields blank" if it is verified by transcript, etc.The "Other" section has no Verifier Information field whatsoever. Birdy
Well, now I'm curious whether I need verifiers for my Other statements. The OMSAS booklet and the FAQ don't actually directly address that, but they DO state a verifier is required for every activity. I have my kids listed in that section, organizing my son's therapies, and information about my hobbies (calligraphy and music, I left off most of the others) in that section. I could just put my husband, I suppose...
MathToMed
Yeah, I'm considering listing my mother as a verifier for two items I listed in "Other" now. Though they're not technically "activities," more just facts of life that I have to deal with... and I didn't even include them last year, since I couldn't find a decent verifier.Gah, OMSAS, why you so vague... I guess in a day or two, I'll know for sure what I did (as if that's any consolation, haha).
