sunshine1035
Hey all what sounds better to describe my role as a med secretary: 1) Manage EHR, transcribe dictation, prep med report, pt history, operative note, order tests, develop rapport w pts & family via empathetic dialogue 2) -Develop rapport with patients/families through empathetic dialogue - Effectively communicated oral/written information re: scheduled procedures I assume the reader knows that EHR = electronic health record. Also I use a ton of abbreviations. Number one is more task oriented, number two is skills oriented. I am second guessing myself.
yesmedyes
I would go with number
MathToMed
It isn't really about which one sounds better (I would say the second "sounds better" but includes less detail), you have to think about which of the two factors your ABS is weaker in. Do you have more task oriented items/competency based items, or skills/communication oriented items? (Think CanMEDS). Let that decide, put it in as the one you appear weaker in.Abbreviations are fine, everyone who will be reading your application know what the EMR/EHR is, and the other shorthand you use is understandable.
