umKines
I'm considering going backto school in a few years to do a masters, not sure in what, but I may eventually apply to PT or OT, possibly even Masters of Public Health or just go to nursing. Right now, I have an undergraduate degree with around a 3.2 GPA. not great. I am currently however, enrolled in college where I am doing a diploma in MRI Technology. Right now I have around 3.9 GPA. If I was to apply to a masters program (or any university level for that matter), do you think they would take into account the GPA from my college program as its more recent, or would they disregard it as its not from a university and did not contribute to my undergraduate degree? My undergrad was required to get into this program. This is more so for down the line in case I can't find work or just choose to do extra schooling in an interesting field down the line (I kind of want to try becoming a university/college prof one day) *i just realized i may have posted this in the wrong section. dassy
Many graduate programs only look at your last 2 years (of univeristy...not sure about college?). I had a cGPA of 3.48, but the last two years at like 3.8something, and I was accepted to several graudate programs. Master's programs are a bit more open in that they will look at everything and don't generally do hard cut-offs. My advice is just to apply to a couple different programs so that you aren't hindered by your grades. Especially since most programs won't care too much about your grades as long as you have a supervisor lined up.
StriveP
I don't think courses from college count. I would call some schools up tbh. You're best bet is to apply in the US with a high MCAT score or apply to other schools in Canada if you have rural status.
