MarsRover Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Normally I would post this in the research section, but it doesn't seem applicable. Over the summer I applied for and got an NSERC industrial undergraduated student research award. I was supposed to start research related activities right away, but one excuse lead to another about how things weren't quite ready yet. Eventually (~5-6 weeks in) I was told I would not be doing any research, and just ended up working manual labour. I didn't put up much of a fuss because where I live jobs are hard to find anyway and I needed the money. My question is how would I go about listing it on my applications to school? Should I just not even mention that I had an IUSRA?

MarsRover Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Posted October 12, 2014 List the NSERC as an award. So they won't ask what involvement/research i did? cause I don't want to lie.
thsc Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 So they won't ask what involvement/research i did? cause I don't want to lie. They might at an interview, but not on your application.
