Dombant
I'm in Kinesiology, so a lot of the subjects in the MCAT are not part of my prerequisites. I was wondering which courses would help the most for taking the MCAT from the following:Organic chem, biochem, sociology, psychology, physicsI'm planning on taking either organic chem/biochem/physics during this summer, but I don't know which to take (I'm only planning to take one of those). Currently, I am doing the "grade 12" equivalent for physics at my university (McMaster) but I don't know if this will be sufficient for the MCAT... Could anyone give advice regarding the physics content? Also, I heard a lot of people say that organic chem + biochem go into a lot deeper detail than you need to know in the MCAT, but I feel like I should still be taking at least one of them... I don't know which one would be most beneficial for my time.I'm also planning to take a psychology or sociology course during the year since I have absolutely 0 background on these two subjects, which one would be more beneficial to take? Korra
They're all pre reqs for the MCAT friend. You could possibly teach yourself either sociology or psychology if you can't fit it into your schedule!

I'm just a high school graduate but was wondering if you would be kind enough to help me a bit. I need to choose between biological sciences and kinesiology before i start my undergrad and seeing you took the kinesiology, it would be great if you'd answer a few questions. so i hear kine gives you a high GPA but was there any other reason than that to choose kine? Also is the course easy or hard? By that i mean to ask how hard is it to get an A? And also what about the prerequisites most med schools have? which year do you plan to take them? Thanks! AIsForApple
Take biochem because that subject's cool. Also I don't know for sure, but isn't it a pretty major focus on the new MCAT?
themanoncampus
Can't say exactly what will help for the 2015 MCAT, but I took the MCAT this September and feel that on top of what everybody already said (Bio, Chem, Physics, Org Chem + Psych if have time) I think it would be good to also take: -Genetics -Biochem -Cell Bio Especially genetics.
