Life_Sci_Guy
I would be interested in some sort of comparison on different residencies in terms of hours per week, call time, etc. Anyone know of something like this that exists? rmorelan
Sounds like you are looking for this: https://www.cma.ca/En/Pages/specialty-profiles.aspx was that updated to include residency or just the staff time? Not always good correlation between the end job and the residency
youngdad
Come on; undergrad isn't that hard. You should head over the med student section and see how much stress and pressure they are dealing with Glad you had a cushy undergrad.
bruhh
Glad you had a cushy undergrad. I never said I did lol. My statement may have come off as too strong. But I simply meant that in comparison to medical school, undergrad is generally seen as more relaxed. This is just from my own experience of hearsay and many posts I've seen made by med students claiming how hectic and stressful medical school is. I can only speak to the first few months of medical school, but I feel that my work life balance is much better then it was in undergrad. I am also way less stressed and have time to so much more stuff. I am sure this changes once you hit clerkship but as of now, medical school is a much better experience then undergrad. youngdad
Yeah Med school was way easier than undergrad for me. 3rd year medicine is very taxing. Not because you have to be really smart, its just a test of endurance and sleep deprivation. The key to 3rd year is a good attitude to keep you from going nuts.
