Tell Me About Your Program

Hello, fellow pre-meds!

I am looking into applying to an undergrad soon, and I really can't make up my mind!

If you go to any of the following programs, please tell me about how you enjoy the program, how many research opportunities there are, how flexible the program is, how the residences are, how the scholarships are, and unfortunately, since it is a bit unescapable... if it is possible to get good marks i this program?

I want to go into medical research (I know, I'm aiming high, and I am not likely to reach that goal, but it never harms to try) so I really want to go to a university that offers a lot of undergrad research, and I want to go to a university with a good name just to keep my options open in case I want to go to the US later, but I know that usually getting the two last ones doesn't always arrive with good GPA.

Also, I live in Ottawa, so please give me some advice whether you preferred staying at home/living on rez. For people on rez, how distracting is it?

So the programs are:

Ottawa Biomed

Carleton Bioinformatics

Waterloo Bioinformatics/Biomed

McMaster Life Sci

McGill Life Sci

Toronto Life Sci
