how long does it generally take to hear back from the schools after you have been interviewed?

does it take the same length of time for offer and rejection? or do rejections come earlier?

really depends on the school and the timing of your interview.

 

in general, the later you interview, the longer it takes schools to get back to you b/c they tend to get backlogged. however, the may 15th deadline has passed so you should contact any outstanding schools directly to find the low down.

One school had told me that they send out decisions within 4-5 weeks and another told me within 6-8 weeks. So the time frame depends on the school. And yes, I think that includes rejections as well. It probably takes them that long to get to your file and make a decision and for that decision to get to you through snail mail.
