decentcigars
Hey everyone, just have a couple of questions about the GPA/MCAT cutoffs for Western: 1) when do they release the new cutoffs for each year? Is it before/after/along with the interview invites? 2) if you meet the cutoffs, do you automatically get an interview? I.E, do they set the cutoffs to fit a number of interviewees that they want? thanks!
shikimate
1) Yes, usually in late Jan/early Feb 2) If you meet the cutoffs and their courseload criteria, yes you should get an interview. They set the cutoffs so that they interview ~450 each year.

The only reason it is not guaranteed is to give them an out for professional reasons (ie if you are a convicted sex offender but have the mcat scores etc you still aren't getting an interview )

(this is no joking matter).
