Hi all,

I'm just wondering what role our references play during/after the interview stage? Sounds like Western is kind of a black box after interviews but I'm assuming that ECs and reference letters must play into the final decision...

No one really knows how big of a role things like references, GPA, and MCAT play post-interview, as Western hasn't given any difinitive criteria. Given that the interviews are closed file, you can rest assured that the interview itself will play a large role in the final decision. There's quite a variation of stats on the acceptances page from the last few years, so take that however you want. Anyways, I wouldn't worry much about references at this point considering there is nothing you can do about it now if you've already submitted them. Just focus on presenting yourself as a strong applicant.
