Mithrandir
Hi, I'm going into an accelerated nursing program next year. I don't want to give up on my dream of med school yet, and I'm doing the second degree with the plan of continuing on to med school. Has anyone gone from nursing into med that could give me any advice? The pros and cons of doing nursing? Any thoughts would be great, thanks. JohnGrisham
Depends on your current profile, alot of the time people have problems of their nursing grades being considered towards special weighting formuales etc for schools. This is something I would strongly look into, if GPA is your main setback for medical schools. It is more likely than not, that if GPA is your issue, nursing school won't really help if medical school is your ultimate goal. It is however a great career and perhaps after working for a while you may not want to pursue med anymore. The clinical experience you get is unparalleled.
