Scoring High On Nbme's - Doable?

How hard it is to score high on the NBME exams?  Say, 75th percentile?

It is definitely doable. I have scored in 90's percentiles and know many others who have as well. That did require a lot of studying.

I thought NBME scores weren't released to residencies? Is there any benefit to CMGs writing NBME (can we even write them)?

Some schools require their students to write certain ones as part of clerkship evaluation.  At UWO we write the OB/GYN, surgery, and internal medicine NBMEs.

 

That said, as long as you get whatever your school's pass rate is, the exact score I don't think matters much.

At mcgill we also do internal, ob/gyn, and surgery. Very doable to score high
